A love for the mountains
… played a big role in the renaming of the former Hotel Schönblick.
It was important for our family to find a name that not only reflects our close connection to nature, but also our family roots. That’s why we let nature, our greatest inspiration guide us.
Deep roots and lucky numbers
Standing in the hotel garden, the view naturally sweeps across the Plan de Corones and the surrounding mountain giants. It became clear right away: this unique panorama deserves a name that does it justice. Our only wish was that the name should start with an “M”. That isn’t just because our other hotels also begin with that letter, but because it holds special meaning for our family. If you turn the “M” on its side, it becomes the number three – our favourite number.
When the name “Montis” came into play, everything fell perfectly into place: the sound reflects the strength of the mountains and symbolises the deep connection to our family.
It’s a name made for a place like this.
A breath of fresh air at Montis

The new spring water pool
… the natural spring from the 2,275-metre-high Plan de Corones feeds our new pool with refreshingly clear water. Rich in minerals and free from pollutants, it enhances wellbeing and cares for the skin. Swimming in pure spring water promotes relaxation, revitalises the senses, and brings a sense of inner peace. Look forward to a holistic wellness experience that soothes body, mind, and soul.
An outdoor wellness oasis
… was of course a must at Montis, which is why a new, inviting sunbathing lawn awaits you, inviting sun worshippers to enjoy the great outdoors. There are also two outdoor jacuzzis where you can sit back and relax.
In the newly designed fitness room
… you’ll find a variety of modern exercise equipment to enrich your workout. For targeted leg training, endurance, and strength, there’s a treadmill, stepper, bike, and weights for effective training.
The new volleyball court
